The Call for Submissions [updated]
Conjural Figments is now taking submissions for all avenues of genre fiction (short stories up to 5,000 words and flash fiction), poetry, opinion pieces, artwork (note: I'd really love to see a lot more artwork submissions!), music videos, song lyrics, plays, music that you have available for free download, etc., etc. And I do mean ALL. Do you have a story about an undead giraffe that learns to yodel while battling cyborgs? Guess what. I want to read it. Do you have a poem from the POV of a serial killer? I want to read that, too. How about a music video you made in college and thought it was good but have nowhere to showcase it? Sure 'nuff, I want to see that as well. If it's weird, if it has a irreverent, fun vibe about it--send it my way. We're your biggest fans in waiting.
Our comparatively simple submission guidelines:
Short Fiction
Word count: 5000 words (max)
12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced
Please put your name and the story's title in the header, and number the pages (bottom right)
Previously unpublished works only.
Poetry
A little looser frame here, just keep it under what you might consider "epic"
12-point Times New Roman, no double-spacing necessary
Please put your name and the story's title in the header, and number the pages (bottom right)
Previously unpublished only.
Artwork
Let your whims take you where they will. Just nothing too pornographic, okay? We're not that kind of magazine.
Submitting:

Please send all stories, poems, opinion pieces, lyrics, plays, screenplay samples and essays to megadeluxo@hotmail.com as a .doc, .docx, or PDF attachment. Please list pename or psudonym if applicable.
Note: If your piece is a sample from an upcoming novel or chapbook, please say so and include a link. We're going to have our magazine available through Issuu.com, where links and such will be live within the document for people to find your work straightaway! Exciting, yeah?
